I have been my dad's caregiver for most of the last five years (two shifts a day, seven days a week). My husband's family lives out of state, and we would like to visit them this coming May 1st - May 15th. (This would also mean a much-needed break for me and time with my husband...) However, this can't happen unless we find care. I have contacted 20+ caregiving agencies without success, so we are quite desperate for help. The start/end times of the shifts are somewhat flexible. We'd like help to start as soon as possible (even before the trip). Morning Shift: - Meal prep (no cooking involved) - Empty/clean urinals - Assistance getting into/out of bed (no medical equipment needed) - Cleaning him up after he uses bathroom Evening Shift: - Meal prep (no cooking involved) - Do dishes - Empty/clean urinals - "Light" bathroom cleaning
