I am seeking care for my 23-year-old son with severe epilepsy. He is severely cognitively delayed and not verbal. He cannot complete tasks on his own and requires 24/7 assistance. He should be supervised when in and out of the home as he has no grasp of personal safety. He will often put objects in his mouth, which is a potential choking hazard. The home is kept clear of potentially dangerous items, but he needs to be supervised to be sure. He needs someone to assist with diapering and feeding. He enjoys spending time outdoors in good weather, walking and laying in the grass. He has frequent seizures, which mostly occur in his sleep. After seizures he can be very tired and sleep for 1 to 8 hours at a time. His sleep patterns vary based on seizure activity. He is a very happy guy and very gentle and loving.
