About who needs care: Dad has Dementia and does best with regularly scheduled activities in an in-home environment. He enjoys going out to lunch 1-2 x per week, running short errands and sitting outdoors in nice weather. About the care needs: The ideal candidate should have experience caring for elderly individuals with dementia and possess patience, kindness, and empathy while providing care. Daily responsibilities include preparing and serving lunch and dinner, as well as performing light housework (cleaning as you go throughout the day), Engaging in conversation & activities (puzzles, listening to music, watching old movies etc) running occasional errands and medical appointments as well as assisting with getting in & out of seated positions. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
