About who needs care: Leonard is a 78-year-old male. Leo had a hemorrhagic stroke September 2023. He is able to shower himself, get himself dressed with the exception of his socks some days. He gets around on his cane, he does use a walker on bad days. Leo has always been a hard-worker and he does try to be self-sufficient. Leo loves the casino and playing the lottery! He does like to do puzzles (he needs help with those) He likes to play cards. He goes to physical therapy 3 days a week, he does exercises at home on the off days. He has a pretty structured day. He likes routine. Getting dressed upon waking, breakfast, watch tv, do exercises. He likes to be helpful and will do some laundry and put dishes in the dishwasher. About the care needs: Someone with patience and a good sense of humor. Leo is a funny, witty guy. He likes to chit chat about what he's watching on tv. He likes Fox news. Leo is a very low key, non drama man. He has a great personality. As a family, we want Leo happy and comfortable with his caregiver. Someone who genuinely cares. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
