Seeking a night shift carer near Haslett for my father, 91. My mother, also 91, has been doing all caregiving since his fall last autumn. He suffered a fractured kneecap (which he has now had two surgeries on), and a brain bleed. He's coherent most of the time, but struggles especially when waking at night with confusion and vivid dreams. His left leg is in a soft brace. He is waking several times each night, generally to use the bathroom, and my mother has been waking to help him (he is able to lift himself and use a walker). The work is to be there and help him when he wakes by reassuring him if he is confused or upset, guiding him to the bathroom and back, cleaning up if he doesn't make it in time. He is sometimes confused, frustrated, or scared, but not angry or aggressive. No elopement risk.
