About the job
We are seeking assistance for my 74-year-old mother, who suffered a stroke May 2023. She has minimal use of her left arm and needs assistance with walking, transferring, and completing most daily tasks. She is verbal and pleasant to work with. Experience with mobility assistance and elderly care is strongly preferred. Weekend availability is our top priority. Duties include: Assist with medication and organization Assist with prescribed exercises and stretching Assist with bathing, grooming, and bathroom use Help with walking, transferring, and general mobility Perform light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, sanitizing surfaces) Prepare simple meals and assist with eating Provide companionship and engage in conversation Monitor safety and provide supervision to prevent falls
