About the job
About who needs care: My mom is a retired teacher and is very passionate about teaching and education. She has some mobility limitations with stairs but can get around the house well enough. She is diabetic. She is currently not driving. We are looking for someone to spend a few hours with her 4-5 days a week. It may be to go to appointments, help with errands, help make a meal, or just sit and visit with her. My father recently passed away and we would like her to have some additional visits. There are currently several family friends and family members who visit and help out but we (her children) would like something more consistent and reliable. About the care needs: She is pretty social and likes to chat so it would be good to have someone who likes to visit. She is passionate about politics and watches the news regularly and it is often something she likes to discuss. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
