Current Opening: The Caregiver is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Once hired, the employee will be under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well-being of the patient and family. We are seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time to work 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm. Must alternate weekends and holidays. Duties: Review patient care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident's daily care routine have been made on the care plan Ensure residents' rooms are ready for receiving and help residents feel comfortable Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Effectively communicate necessary information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator Check each patient routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the patient's condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the patient's care plan Assist patients with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and foster a calm and cheerful environment Job Requirements: CNA certified preferred, or 5-10 years of caregiver experience and High School Diploma Graduate of a State-approved CNA program or nursing student preferred Currently registered/licensed in applicable State preferred. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment. One (1) year experience with disabled individuals and traumatic brain injury/spinal cord injury preferred Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment. Available shifts: 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am, rotating weekends + holidays Contingent on clean background check.
