Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother

About who needs care: My mom is recovering from partial hip replacement surgery with a T5 fracture and a cracked rib. She was recovering from bowel surgery when she sustained these injuries. We are waiting for her PT, OT and nurse to start visiting. We have been with her round the clock, but we all have jobs and need some help. She doesn't really have any hobbies. She occasionally colors and does crossword puzzles, but mostly just watches television. About the care needs: Someone who is patient. Someone who does not talk about politics. Someone who can tolerate her watching mostly old shows. We would like someone who has some type of medical background. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
