About who needs care: Nancy is 87 with early stages of dementia, she is still very with it just has short term memory problems. She is mobile pretty well actually. She doesnt drive, has a car for dr appts though. She lives alone. She has a walker she rarely uses. She has a wheelchair for longer trip outings, she can make her own food to an extent. She can do pretty much all daily tasks but needs help here and there. Its a difficult situation I can explain more in depth over the phone. I am her POA/granddaughter she has 2 living children who are almost ZERO HELP. (They live next door) so I need to find someone to assess her actual needs or assess to see if we need as much help as I am inquiring for. About the care needs: Nancy is funny and loves to laugh, she loves to talk and have good conversation with. And loves to hear about peoples lives also. She loves quilting, Star Trek puzzles card games and westerns. The only special Skill you need to have is to be able to handle her son who lives next door. He is to put it nicelya bum. And sometimes can be difficult just being in his presence. He knows everything and will try to tell you how to be a nurse but will never lift a finger to actually help his own mother. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
