Seeking Short-Term Respite Care For Elderly Couple (St. Francis, ME)

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable caregiver to assist an elderly married couple (both in their 70s), one of whom has dementia. This is a short-term position (2-8 weeks) providing up to 8 hours of respite care per day to support their son as he arranges long-term care. Responsibilities: Assisting with meals and light meal preparation Providing general supervision and companionship Supporting self-care as needed (excluding bathing, which is handled by visiting nurses) Light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment Ideal Candidate: Experience with dementia care preferred but not required Patient, reliable, and compassionate Comfortable working in a home setting This is an urgent need, and we are willing to discuss scheduling flexibility and compensation.
