About who needs care: My mom is a very smart, funny, and insightful person. She is 84 years young. There are times when she could just use someone to swing by to hang out with her, maybe do some cooking, help with light household tasks and stuff like that. I will be living in Portland close by but might not be able to swing over her way to help with things when she needs so I think it would be great to be able to find someone she has an affinity for and can help out when needed when I am unable to. About the care needs: Someone not too pushy as my momma is an alpha. lol She is kind and gentle and likes to crack jokes (a New Yorker originally) so somebody that can banter and laugh and not take things too personally Id say an agreeable easy going person who can listen well because mom likes to talk. And she can be a little bossy but is very well liked by most people. She doesnt do well with pushy type women. Loves gay guys too!!!! They should be creative. Clean. And insightful. As well as someone willing to suggest solutions or gently convince mom to not try and do certain things all by herself. She likes people with good sense of humors. And thoughtful big hearted people. They must be trustworthy. My husband and I are close by and we will Not tolerate any kind of sketchy shady type folk. Thank you. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
