About who needs care: Hi. My mother has dementia and it has progressed with my father cannot care for her himself. My father has no other choice but to put her into a full-time memory care facility as my mom cannot take care of herself in any way. She needs full-time care she needs help the way to the bathroom She needs help doing everything. She is very sweet and does not understand that she has dementia. She doesn't recognize her own children most of the time can no longer use the phone can no longer recognize items the home. She can't recognize anything. If my dad was to drop her off into a facility it will break him to the core and I'm not sure he could handle that. They have a gorgeous home in Brunswick Maine with 2 extra large king size bedrooms and the bathroom and office in the second floor. The house is particularly kept and we were considering having a live-in caregiver. I don't know how any of these things work, I'm way outside of my depth, I really just hoping we can find someone who is loving and can take care of my mom but still keeps them together.
