About who needs care: I am looking for a long term assistant to help my brother who is in his 40s and has mild autism/ ADHD. I would be looking for someone to basically check in on him 2-3 times per week to help with higher order organizational tasks like making doctors appointments, paying bills, scheduling car maintenance, and to also help him cook and tidy his apartment. Perhaps going grocery shopping and helping him cook a healthy meal once or twice a week. Ideally someone who could build up a relationship with him and agree to work with him long term. He is very friendly and motivated, he himself has a job taking care of autistic adults who need more help than he does. He is a big sports fan, and loves politics, poker and hiking. Hours and days are flexible. About the care needs: My brother gets along well with anyone, but he would love someone interested in debating politics or sports. No special skills are required other than being organized and having attention to details. Basic cooking skills would be an added bonus. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
