About the job
About who needs care: My mom lives with us. My wife and I like to take week long trips on occasion and would like for someone to come by to check on mom for an hour each afternoon while we're gone. The visit would just be to check on her, have a cup of tea and a cookie with her and to talk a bit. My mom can prepare her own food, bath and dress herself. She has a difficult time walking but she uses a walker inside and outside. About the care needs: Our ideal caretaker is between 60 and 75 years of age. They should be good listeners and willing to discuss current events. Not politics or religion. My mom is Dutch and has a heavy Dutch accent, sometimes making it difficult to understand her. Her hobbies are needlepoint, knitting and jewelry making. She is 84 and was born in the Netherlands at the start of WW II. Services needed include: companionship.
