Companion Care Needed For My Wife In Greenbelt

About who needs care: My wife (age 70) has dementia (moderate to severe). Walks with some difficulty, but is not incontinent yet. Some speech problems, often confused, may think other people are in the room. Is generally pleasant, as long as I keep her on the meds. Would like someone who can engage her at least part of the time in conversation, TV, games, etc. Help her get to the bathroom, possibly provide some help in the bathroom. Maybe talk a short walk with her in good weather, if she is able and willing. Stay with her so that I can come and go during the allotted hours to my own appointments and activities. Make lunch for her (heating a can of soup would be sufficient, she doesn't eat much). Get her a snack (fruit) if she asks. Wash and dry her hair Monday & Friday. Easy -- short hair. I normally bathe and dress her, no need to do that. If time allows, just a bit of housework -- dust the furniture, bookshelves, pictures, blinds with Swiffer. I do floors, laundry, clean bathroom, etc, so there's not a lot of housework to do. But dusting would be a great help to me. About the care needs: Someone who can be a good companion, talk to her, play games or read to her. As she has become weaker, I sometimes have to help her get out of her chair, so someone able to help her up would be best (she weighs 160 lbs). She enjoys watching travel and music videos on TV . Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
