About the job
Help needed for my 80-yr-old mother - we're seeking a strong, skilled caregiver who can bathe, dress, change, and help Mom into and out of her wheelchair, as well as prep meals. Mom is currently in a nursing/rehab facilty following hip replacement surgery and will soon be returning home, where she lives alone. Although her mind is sharp, she has debilitating arthritis in her other hip, back, and hands and requires assistance with most daily tasks. Mom is a former high school librarian who was born and raised in Cumberland. Before losing her mobility, she enjoyed doing Tai Chi, making collage art, spending time in nature, volunteering with the Red Cross, and visiting friends and family.
