About who needs care: Male in 30's with muscular dystrophy. Very limited hand mobility. In power wheelchair, needs assistance with things can't do himself. He is a professional and currently works from home. Likes movies, music, art, chess, likes going out to restaurants, plants and outside garden. Needs someone Monday through Friday 1 p.m. - 9 or 10 p.m. Part time person on weekends. Must be able to drive wheelchair van. About the care needs: Someone who speaks clear English and can transcribe for him related to work related tasks. Outgoing and friendly personality who likes to do things. Looking for peer/companion who has similar interests. Need to perform light housekeeping and meal prep, assisting with urinal, grooming, driving to places, assisting with work tasks. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
