Seeking hands on care near Baltimore for my mother in her 60s, who is recovering from glioblastoma and a recent fall. She is fairly independent but uses a walker to get around and experiences some cognitive and speech difficulties, which can affect memory and communication. Assistance with medication management/reminders is needed. Some light tidying up and help with preparing meals will be part of the role. We're also looking for someone to provide kind, patient companionship and occasional support with errands. Transportation to and from appointments or the store may be required, as she is unable to drive. Care is needed Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR/first-aid trained. Experience with individuals recovering from illness or with cognitive impairments is a plus.
