About who needs care: Roy has dementia. He enjoys watching sports and watching the squirrels and birds out front. He typically gets up and goes for a drive up to 7 11 or Giant. Then will drive around the neighborhood to listen to his music. Seems like he goes out for a 5 mile drive and then comes home. We hope to get his car away from him and hopefully will enjoy getting a ride with a caregiver. Most of the day he sits on the sofa watching TV. Family and friends try to stop in and say high a couple times a week. On Wednesday a friend picks him up to go out for a meal. About the care needs: Someone nice, of course. Roy does like sports, but he likes just having them on TV, he doesn't need to specifically talk about them, so being a sports fan isn't really needed. Roy has a hard time forming thoughts and words into sentences, so someone that has patience. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
