About who needs care: My father has Parkinson's and Dementia, with the Dementia part having gotten worse over this past year. We like to refer to him as being, "Pleasantly confused", however. He's fun and he plays with it too so there's no pressure, but he does need supervision because he can get into quite a bit of trouble if left to his own devices. We just need help in terms breaking up the day. It'd serve to give us breaks from him so we can also take care of ourselves and also so he can get some added and much needed mental stimulation apart from what he's been used to. About the care needs: We'd like someone that's very engaging, and can help stimulate his mind. Someone that's maybe a lil edgy as well and not afraid of some realness. They must have a sense of humor for sure. And they have to at least be able to show they care and want to help him. In time I have no doubt you will care very much for him tho. He doesn't believe he needs this, but we know he does. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
