About who needs care: My mother has recently been exhibiting dementia resulting from several small strokes, and we are currently assessing her needs. At this point, she needs someone to get her up, dressed, medicated in the morning and three or so times per week showered. I am also hoping to get her into a day program, so an assistant would also get her onto a wheelchair van. About the care needs: I am sorry to say that she is often confused and grumpy in the mornings and doesn't like to be told to do something, so the ideal candidate would need patience. Also, she is incontinent, which comes with a measure of unpleasantness. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
