About who needs care: Greek speaking loves to watch Greek shows has dementia loves to socialize, tell her stories, can become dismissive and agitated if she interprets the other person not understanding her or agreeing with her (sometimes outlandish ideas, like moving back to Greece on her own) About the care needs: patient, very cheerful and motivating "life of the party" type of personality. Mom is hard of hearing and speaks Greek as her first language, so someone that does not have a thick accent and is willing to speak slow and clearly and assist with cueing ? If there is a caregiver that speaks Greek even better for my mom. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
