Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Shelburne Falls

About who needs care: Physically my mother is great she does use a walker when going outside her residence. She has dementia and is very easy, happy for company and conversation but does repeat things alot. She follows directions well but does need direction and gets confused and sometimes anxious just needs things explained to her. She enjoys doing word search and going to local coffee shop if she has transportation. She enjoys bingo at the senior center and loves to sit and talk. During cold weather she stays inside most of the time but if weather is nice she likes walks and people to visit with. About the care needs: My mother needs someone to assist to shower and help with direction to shower and wash hair once a week. Also, needs someone to do laundry at community laundry at housing complex and help get mail same day as laundry. She needs someone to get groceries be in at local grocery or Big Y. Also light cleaning as place doesn't really get dirty but bathroom will need to be cleaned and help with her dishes. Also, depending on time of day assist making sure she takes her medication that is in medication box. Maybe take her to local coffee shop so she can visit and socialize. Don't need to stay with her just see she gets inside and pick her up after an hour. She is pretty low maintenance just needs reminders and direction. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
