Seeking companion care near Plymouth for my father in his 70s. Time/days can be varied... he mainly needs someone to ensure he has 3 meals a day, takes his medication 3 times a day (morning, noon, and afternoon), and assist with light housekeeping. He has a history of alcoholism and now has wernicke's syndrome so his short term memory is poor and he forgets to eat. We would like someone to that can walk with him in the neighborhood or maybe take him to local activities. He can no longer drive, so would need help getting groceries and mail. He has plenty of family in the area that can fill in. Someone with a good sense of humor, but also the ability to be stern would be a good fit for him. He is currently in a local rehab hospital and my brother and I are arranging for follow up, in home care (no need fore medical skills).
