About who needs care: Retired professional woman with early Alzheimer's, able to take care of herself personally, but who needs help with cooking, laundry, transportation, errands, and the like. Owns a small friendly dog. About the care needs: She's a liberal democrat who follows politics and other news. Amiable and friendly but with little short-term memory. We need a good communicator who will let her POA and Health Care Proxy (both personal friends) know how she's doing. Her care needs will intensify as time goes by. Right now we're just looking for a few hours a day, three days per week. Very flexible. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
