Help needed for my mother in her 70s who is in the early stages of dementia- seeking part-time hands-on care. The ideal match has worked with seniors with dementia and meets the requirements below. Important - experience with managing and administering medication is required. One of your responsibilities will be helping with bathing - getting in and out of the shower. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction, and going for walks to help her stay active. We might ask you to run errands now and then. We ask that you handle transportation as needed to/from classes at a nearby senior center and/or physical therapy. Preferences for a caregiver who is patient, caring, a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained.
