About who needs care: He has a colostomy bag, is on a diabetes monitor, and just started chemotherapy. He takes his medications in the morning and evening (they are set out for him weekly). He generally goes to the dining hall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to socialize with his friends. Our main concerns are the upkeep of the colostomy bag and site, that he get some exercise, and that he is bathed with clean clothes and bedding. About the care needs: An understanding of how to care for a stoma to prevent infection. Ability to assist in his hygiene and ensure his medications are taken. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
