About who needs care: My grandmother is 96 years old and took a pretty bad fall in May and had a hip fracture repair surgery. The surgery went well but her therapy is not progressing very well. Prior to the fall, she had no problems walking or moving but now she's immobile. Therefore, she needs pretty constant care and she has dementia as well. Since the fall, she's been living in an assisted living facility and will be discharged pending us (the family) finding someone to help with care at my mother's (her daughters) home. About the care needs: Someone willing to work with my grandmother despite her being cranky or annoyed. Someone who pay attention to her needs. Someone who changes her and cleans her daily and ensures that she eats. Someone who is trained in helping her from her bed to her wheelchair, without allowing her to fall. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
