About the job
My dear father has dementia and has been living with us for almost 6 years. He is a sweetheart and enjoys crossword puzzles, back scratches, watching TV and joking. He recently had a mild heart attack and after a short stay in the hospital is back home with a foley catheter which will probably stay. He doesn't move around a lot, due to his age (almost 88) general tiredness and health issues, and he is kind of sensitive to loud sounds and voices. Looking for someone who can stay with Dad while we attempt to get out in the world or in my husband's case occasionally hole up in his office. We need someone to prepare his mid-day meal, give him his pills, empty his catheter when needed, and some light housework in between. He has a shower once a week so help with that would be wonderful. He's very easy going and a pleasure to be around.
