About who needs care: Mom has macular degeneration and is almost totally blind. She wears hearing aids but is still hard of hearing. About the care needs: Mom had an older woman in the past that was excellent with her. She treated Mom like family. We want the caregiver to engage but not be overly chatty. Mom likes to listen to music. Mom is pretty easy to care for, her needs are simple. Take her to the toilet, get her ready for bed, and make simple meals like soup or mashed potatoes in the microwave. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
