About who needs care: My daughter has Spina Bifida, she uses a power wheel chair, she is dealing with some pressure wound areas we are trying to heal up, she is in bed a good part of the day in order to heal her wounds, she gets up for meals and gets to stay up two hours at a time. She enjoys Taylor Swift, reading, watching crime shows, football and numerous other things. She is social, therefore could use some company while she is laying in bed. She loves to do diamond art. Her ideal day isn't being in bed all the time, but just until we get her wounds fixed. About the care needs: She has a good positive outlook on things, even in dealing with her health issues right now, she tries to remain up. She likes discussing issues, watching the history channel, she knows more about football players and their stats than her brothers do, she likes to keep up with the Royals, Chiefs, and 49er's. Right now she has a pic line and is on IV antibiotics, I have nurses that give it most of the time, but might need to do it once in a while, she has several wounds with wound vac, so there are some things to learn about that. She was born with Spina Bifida so she has the usual things that come along with that. The worker doesn't need to have any specific hobbies or interests but it would be helpful when it comes to conversating with M.
