About who needs care: Mother-in-law was living at home alone unassisted until a recent hospitalization. She is receiving home health nursing and physical therapy to regain strength. She has new mobility issues and needs assistance, transferring from chairs to wheelchair. Wheelchair to bed. She has diabetes, and a pacemaker. Her underlying conditions are well managed at the moment with medication. she enjoys watching morning mass on television, visits from family and playing cards at the kitchen table. an ideal day would be getting up and dressed in the morning with a shower. Relax in her chair in her bedroom watching morning mass. Next, go to the kitchen to get breakfast and take medication with tea. The rest of the day is laid back. No schedule. After the recent hospital stay, her activity level has diminished and she is wheelchair bound at the moment. Mental faculties are fine. She is a bubbly personality and very friendly. Retire to the bedroom around 8:30 p.m. and hopefully get a good nights sleep.
