Hands-on Care Needed For My Father

About who needs care: He has dementia. He is a very Happy go lucky guy. He has become incontinent. 3 year ago he had rectal cancer and under went chemo/radiation. He is 2 year clear now of that. His wife is in the home but can not be his fulltime caretaker and baths. he has 2 cats in the home. He sits in a chair all day long and only gets up to go get snacks, and if his wife makes him go do something. He really has no idea he has been sitting so long. Getting him to go out in the yard and short walks would also be great. and give mom enough time to run errands. About the care needs: He is not a big TV watcher but sits and flicks the channels. Happy go lucky. Tolerant of the same stories and act like its the first time. Good reasoning skills on why he has to take his teeth out and clean them etc. We think a woman vs a man and if I can be frank, probably not someone of color and the need to speak English. WE, the family do not care but we don't want him to immediately be turned off. I guess that generation Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
