Hands-on Care Needed For My Husband In Granger

About who needs care: My husband Bill has had Parkinson's for the past 7 years and will be entering hospice at home probably next week. He is partially paralyzed on his left side from an accident. He uses a gait belt and hemi walker for transfers but does not walk. He spends most of his days on his lift chair in the living room and nights in his hospital bed in his room. I need someone flexible who could primarily sit with him if I have to travel locally, probably not more than 4-6 hours total. This would include preparing a light meal for him. I would also like to have someone who would stay with him for approximately two hours so that I could go out to lunch occasionally. Also, I would sometimes like to go to church Sunday morning and would need someone form approximately 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Bill has severe short term memory loss. He can be fully engaged in a conversation but has no recollection of it within a few minutes. Also his caregiver would have to be physically strong enough to transfer him from his wheelchair to the toilet while he uses a grab bar and backs up one step, and lift him off the toilet, pull up his Depends, and get him back on the wheelchair and take him back to his lift chair, and help him onto his chair. He would be wearing a gait belt during these transitions. He is incontinent and sometimes needs a cleanup. He has an indwelling Foley catheter and needs to have his leg bag emptied around every 4 hours. I am not looking for a definite schedule, more of an "on call" situation but I would try to give as much advance notice as possible, especially if I would need someone for 4-6 hours. As far as interests, Bill has a PhD in anthropology and has taught anthro and archaeology at several colleges, and he is a retired deputy state archaeologist. He also used to paint in oils but can no longer control a paintbrush. He can barely write his name at this point. About the care needs: Caring personality, a lot of patience as he doesn't remember what he was told 5 minutes ago. Upper body strength to handle transfers with a gait belt, as he is partially paralyzed on his left side and cannot use a regular walker. Anyone interested in art, painting, history, prehistory, Native American ethnology would be a plus, but he usually spends his days watching tv. He used to be an avid reader but can no longer read more than a few words because he can't remember the context of what he just read. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
