Companion Care Needed For My Loved One In Evansville

About who needs care: ADHD, PDD-NOS, anxiety Can do most, but not all, self-care (needs help shaving and doing nails). Needs guidance and help with laundry, dishes, bathroom cleaning, bed making, reminding to take pills. Needs to be accompanied to (and driven to and from) volunteer time at the food bank, zoo, animal shelter, etc. in order to stay occupied. Occasional need for trip to a doctor. Has severe impulse control problems including compulsive overeating, constant talking, and constant desire to have things so need a person who is NOT going to be swayed by any of that. Ideal day is arrival around 7:30 to set out breakfast per the instructions left by guardian, a few simple chores around the house, then morning volunteering, back for lunch and a short break, afternoon volunteering, with dinner and evening snack set out for later - day ending 4:30 or so. Could do two helpers - one for AM and one for PM. About the care needs: Caring, but strict and not swayed by someone trying to cajol them into changing the rule. Patience for a constant talker is needed. Need someone who wants to be out volunteering with him at in various settings, patiently guiding and redirecting. Going for a walk with him each day would also be good. Do NOT want someone who is as obsessed with video games and trading cards as he is. Cannot have someone who is going to want to bring their children with them or will be on their phone all day. The attention needs to be on my son. He needs a true companion. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
