About the job
I need an Autism care provider with experience. Our needs are: Help Staying Physically Active, Companionship, Transportation, Independent Living Skills. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. Part of your responsibilities may include going with my Adult child to Walmart, etc, so you need a driver's license and good driving record. You could also use public transportation together. My adult child is high functioning and verbal, but I am the sole caregiver and need support with life skills and confidence building. I also have a 60 lb very friendly mastiff. If you are comfortable with dogs, it would be a bonus if you can take her out if needed. There are also 2 self sufficient cats in my home. You will need to be a Personal Care Worker for Medicaid, or be willing to go through the process.
