About the job
About who needs care: My dad is 88 years old. He was diagnosed with a form of dementia. His needs are not high. We are looking for someone to come from Thursday-Saturday (approximately noon-6pm) just to make sure he doesn't need anything. We only need this to occur one time a month, to give one of his primary caretakers some free time to recharge. About the care needs: My father is fairly quiet. He is fluent in Spanish but speaks fluent English (with an accent). He sits most of the day doing puzzles. We have a little trouble getting him in the shower. He would not do well with a bossy person, he is stubborn. He does not need much, just making sure he eats the food that is left for him. He likes to talk about his youth in Mexico at times. He is fairly quiet, but does like to engage in conversations at times. Services needed include: companionship.
