About who needs care: My mother has Parkinson's. She is very frail and moves slowly, but can walk and move around. She has a walker and only uses it when necessary. She loves bridge, has traveled the world, and is a retire chemistry teacher. She is kind and very easy going. We are looking for someone to help wake her up (she sleeps late- 12noon most days) and make sure she eats a healthy meal and takes her meds. Perhaps some meal prep for the evening and occasionally doing her hair after showering as well as checking in to make sure she OK. Ideal hours we need are is 5 days a week 1pm-3 p.m. Her granddaughter is currently living with her and works full time, but this is not a permanent arrangement. Her daughter lives locally, but also works full time. Please inquire for more details. About the care needs: Someone who has a soft touch and can make her laugh. She often does not want to get out of bed, but once she does, she's OK. Anyone with Parkinson's experience would be a great help. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
