About the job
About who needs care: I am looking to have someone available to be in our apartment for a few hours with him while I am at work. Help get him lunch. At times he is showing signs of dementia, forgetfulness, difficulty processing, He has difficulty hearing, and is a Type1 Diabetic, has a DexCom G6 CGM. and will require insulin, which he can give himself. He had surgery to remove his toes so he has difficulty walking. About the care needs: Someone with a nursing background that is patient. Because of he does not hear well, must speak slow and loud. Will be looking to get PT and OT, but would like it if the caregiver can encourage practice. Peter loves sports so an interest in sports might be a plus. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
