About who needs care: My mom suffered a heart attack and a punctured lung back in Oct. we are working on helping her rehabilitate. We need someone to advocate for her needs for a few days at the beginning of October when we cannot be there and then every so often. Care includes letting nurses know when she has a BM so they can change her, letting them know if she needs Tylenol for her recurring headaches, keeping her feeling positive and doing very simple PT movements once an hour. This would be for 6-8 hpurs a day from about 2-9 or 10 p.m. Some time is just spent watching tv and providing companionship as she feels nervous sometimes. We have been giving her cbd oil for that and its very helpful esp in the evening to let her go to sleep easier. About the care needs: A positive person who is assertive and aware. Someone who is kind and doesnt shy away from telling my mom - everything is ok and that she can push through to keep getting stronger, to calm herself and take deep breaths, and to make sure the nurses are doing the scheduled care. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
