About the job
I'm looking for hands-on care for my husband in his 70s. Responsibilities include PEG tube feeding, showering, skin care to prevent pressure wounds, lifting him, helping him walk and stand (must be able to handle heavy lifting), stretching, toileting, cleaning and showering, dressing, keeping bedding clean, some assistance with laundry, helping to load him into the car for doctor's appointments, etc. He is 100% dependent on others for all of his activities of daily living. There is another full-time care giver and this job covers shifts when he is not working. My husband has severe aphasia and only speaks a few words, however, he is sweet and well mannered.
