About who needs care: Alexandra is a kind, soft spoken, retired math professor who needs someone to stay with her throughout the day about one day a week, giving relief to her normal family caretaker. Tasks are quite minimal, doing things such as serving up already prepared food, sitting with her at the table during meals, adjusting blankets, etc. She spends most of the day resting in bed and enjoys her space, but finds comfort in knowing someone is in the apartment if she needs anything.
