About who needs care: My mom has terminal cancer. She has a colostomy bag she needs help with. She has very limited mobility right now. She is mostly bedridden. She can feed herself. But she needs help with toiletry, bathing, and getting meals. She is in an extended care right now but will be discharged soon. We lives alone. We cannot afford nursing home care at $300 per day. We cannot afford 24/7 nursing care at home either. She does not qualify for Medicaid. She falls through all the cracks for receiving the help she needs. About the care needs: My mother is very hard of hearing. She was an avid birdwatcher when she was able to be up and around. She needs someone who is calm and patient. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
