About who needs care: Amputee (left leg BKA); trying to recover from sepsis and consequent kidney failure (3 x week dialysis); needs help transferring to/from wheelchair and everything: bed, car, toilet. Would prefer having care as many nights per week as caregiver is available, min. 3 nights, up to 7. Has disabled spouse who does not require care but needs time to sleep (this is where the caregiver comes in). Mostly we need someone strong and reliable to keep company with a sweet, insomniac CKD patient and transfer her to toilet and wheelchair as needed. Live-in is a possibility if the situation is right. About the care needs: Patience, kindness, a fair amount of upper body strength, honesty, integrity... the important things. And they should be tolerant of someone who smokes cigarettes (not in the house): no medical lectures invited.
