About who needs care: Mainly for companionship as she is lonely. I am her main caregiver. She lives independently in the retirement Community but her hearing seems to have gotten worse and she doesn't want to use hearing aids. Talks a lot about going outside to walk but doesn't do it. She would like to have a job to keep her busy, folding clothes... anything to make her feel useful. In the past, she has sewn, gardened, read books, done puzzles but not recently. About the care needs: Mom gets along well with most people. She can do most everything herself. She repeats herself a lot so the person would need to be tolerant of that. I would be interested in hearing about other ideas for her to try. She was a farm wife for many years and also a secretary at the local middle school. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
