Companion Care Needed For Myself In Des Moines

About who needs care: I'm 85 and disabled due to having a knee infection in September that was operated on and really didn't heal properly. Had to reoperate in November and now on the proper antibiotics. I live alone w my cat "Angel" who has been my companion since 2019 when my husband passed. I started the Graphic Design Program at DMACC in 1970 and taught there for 38 years. I am still involved with the college and on the retiree board. I also head up a group of seniors who maintain the Des Moines Tech High School Alumni Hall at Central Campus. I manage 5 facebook groups and do volunteer Graphic Design work every day for groups and individuals. In other words I'm never bored juat challenged. My son (an Engineer w Boeing & pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard) was able to come to be with me since my surgery. He went home yesterday. My daughter is a Pharmacist at the University of Iowa hospital and also faculty fir the College of Pharmacy in Iowa City. She is able to communicate with all of my Drs. on a professional level which helps me a lot. My need for home care would be for personal care and very light household assistance. I am using a rotator to move from room to room and to help transfer things from one place to another. I usually start my day around 8 and take a break to read a book or nap a little around 2. I'm a late night owl and rarely go to bed by midnight. I have a kid coming to bring in my mail and fill the outdoor bird feeders and he will come after work every other day for an hour or 2. I think having someone here for a couple of other hours a few times a week would be wonderful and you can provide that service. I can be reached on my home phone. Looking forward to hearing from you!
