About who needs care: My brother, Jim, isn't taking good care of himself or his house. He expects his son to drive 100 miles to take care of him. He has had multiple surgeries at Mayo in Rochester and needs help checking/changing the bandages and checking the tubes. He lives alone. He could use help getting laundry done, dishes done, etc. About the care needs: It would help to have someone who can deal with a person who tends to be stubborn and likes to tease. It would also be helpful to have someone who knows about taking care of an ostomy bag and other medical tubes following surgery. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
