About who needs care: She moved here from Texas to live with us under hospice care as she has terminal brain cancer. She is still ambulatory, with use of a cane, and feels quite independent though she can no longer drive due to cognitive issues, seizure risk, and the medications she is on. My kids have gone back to college, and I work from home during the week, so she is bored and complaining about being shut up in the house (though she does not have the physical energy or capacity to do very much). She wants to be able to run an errand when she feels like it, but obviously I can't do that during my work day, so just looking for someone to spend an hour or less taking her to whichever store she needs to go to (the gas station, ice cream, Safeway, ups store to return yet another amazon order made in error). About the care needs: Someone with a sense of humor, no special skills or interests needed (she has never had hobbies). She doesn't like to be made to feel like she NEEDS the help. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
