About the job
About who needs care: I normally take my mother to all of her medical appointments. Unfortunately, I have just been diagnosed with Covid, and Mom has an oncology appointment with her lymphoma doctor followed by a drug infusion appointment for her osteoporosis on Monday. Both appointments are in the same building in Sandy Springs. I need someone to pick her up at her Assisted Living Facility next to at 7 a.m. and take her to these appointments. About the care needs: Friendly would be great, but "chatty" isn't required. Needs to be strong enough to lift a small wheelchair into the backseat or trunk of a car and back out again. Mom is small - just 4'10", so the wheelchair is smaller than the avg. wheelchair, too. Mom can get from the wheelchair into the car and back out again unassisted. She normally uses a walker, but for longer distances, it's easier to use a wheelchair. (She broke her hip in January, so is still healing form that - it takes a full 6 months to a year to recover at her age.) Services needed include: transportation.
